Hi, I am Lynne Sheetz. I am the first grade teacher here at St. James. I have been in education for 26 years. I taught 9 years in Cedar Rapids in either first or second grade. In 2004 I got married to Brad and moved to Washington where I got a job at St. James as the Kindergarten teacher. After 4 years I quit to stay home with the 2 kids I had and another on the way. Eight years later I accepted another position at St. James as the third grade teacher (yes, I AM a boomerang!) and here I am! I came back because the family atmosphere and the religion-based education is one you can't forget.
I grew up in Northeast Iowa on a dairy cow and farrow to finish hog farm. I have 4 brothers and 4 sisters. I have 29 nieces and nephews and currently 20 great nieces and nephews. And YES we all get together at least twice a year!
I have a 14 year old daughter, Jade who attends Washington Middle School, a 13 year old son, Blake who attends WMS and an 11 year old, Tate who is a 5th grader here at St. James.
My favorite things to do are: be outside, spend time with my family, camp and watch sports.
