My name is Mrs. Amy Heisdorffer. I teach 4th Grade at St. James School as well as 4th and 5th Grade Technology. I currently live in Washington with my husband and our dog, Levi, but I am originally from Dunlap, a small town in Illinois. I graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education. I can remember always wanting to be a teacher ever since I was little. After graduation, I taught for 12 years at a small Catholic school in Illinois. In the summer of 2020, I moved to Iowa. I started teaching at St. James this past August. I chose St. James because I love teaching in a Catholic school. Being able to bring my faith into my classroom makes all the difference.
